What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a type of breathwork practice that uses a continuous, rhythmic breathing pattern with no pauses between the inhale and exhale. The breath is typically done through the mouth (though sometimes through the nose), and the focus is on consciously maintaining the flow of breath while allowing the body and emotions to respond naturally.
Core elements of Conscious Connected Breathwork:
Circular breathing: Inhales and exhales are connected - there's no holding or pausing.
Conscious awareness: The breather is encouraged to stay present with the sensations, thoughts, emotions, or memories that arise.
Somatic release: This type of breathwork often facilitates emotional processing and can lead to deep physical or energetic release.
Facilitated or guided: It’s typically done in sessions led by a trained practitioner who creates a safe space and may offer cues, affirmations, or light touch.
At its heart, Conscious Connected Breathwork is about using your own breath as a tool for healing, release, and connection. It’s a simple yet powerful practice. This type of breathwork helps you move beyond the busy thinking mind and into the wisdom of your body. By doing so, it often opens space for:
Emotional release - grief, stress, or old pain that you may have been carrying
Clarity - insights or inner truths that rise when the mind quiets
Calm and grounding - a reset for your nervous system
Connection - to yourself, to your inner resilience, and sometimes to something greater
No two sessions are ever the same. Some people feel physical sensations (tingling, warmth, energy moving), while others experience waves of emotion or a deep sense of stillness. Whatever arises, it is welcomed and supported.
The Benefits
Breathwork helps to regulate the autonomic nervous system by activating the parasympathetic response—the body’s natural state of rest and repair.
Breathwork can help you:
release accumulated stress and tension
access and process suppressed emotions
cultivate a calm inner environment that promotes clarity of thought and emotional stability
By balancing your energy systems through conscious connected breath, you strengthen the connection between your mind and body.
Some of the benefits you may come to experience are:
relaxation and stress relief
better sleep
feeling less anxious
better mood and a general feeling of well being
feeling more energized
an outlook of positivity

Dress in layers as you may have temperature fluctuations.
A eye mask is an option, but not required.
Eat at least 1.5 hrs before class or light eating only.
You may wish to bring a journal to write down any insights that come up for you.
